Meet the Author

Cami Rumble is a poet and writer from California’s Central Valley, where she lives among the beautiful chaos of ordinary life. She is drawn to the small, easily overlooked moments of a life—the things that ache quietly, the things that surprise us with their beauty, and the ordinary places where love and loss leave their marks.

Her poetry has appeared in California Quarterly, Adelaide Literary Magazine, Penumbra, and elsewhere. She holds a degree in English from California State University, Stanislaus. In her writing, she returns often to questions of memory, tenderness, grief, and the complicated work of becoming.

When she is not writing, Cami is usually reading, raising her children, or noticing something small enough to carry home and turn over in her hands. She believes there is meaning in paying attention—and that sometimes the things we cannot quite say are the reason we write.
